Course objectives
The subject is a part of basic course Molecular biology for students of discipline Molecular and cellular diagnostic. It comprises the tasks that offer acquiring of basic methods in molecular biology of bacteria and their viruses.
Syllabus
  • Preparation of solutions used in molecular biology. Isolation spontaneous mutants of Staphylococcus aureus resistant to streptomycine. One step growth curve of bacteriophage. Fluctuation test. Replica-plating of colonies a plaques. Isolation of plasmid DNA; Determination purity and concentration of DNA; Digestion of DNA by restriction endonucleases; Horizontal slab gel electrophoresis of DNA in agarose gels; Cultivation of eucaryotic cell cultures. Cytocentrifugation of influenced eucaryotic cells; Isolation of proteins; SDS-page methods.
