fields of study / plans the course is directly associated with
Course objectives
Course is complementary to VLBC0421p. The aim of the course it to bring experience with solving practical problems in clinical biochemistry, to acquire practical laboratory skills and to learn students to use results of biochemical analysis for diagnostics.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- explain the methods of obtaining biological material for biochemical analyzes and know the rules of handling.
- describe the physiological values of the most important biochemical parameters.
- interpret the results of biochemical analyzes, discuss the significance of the findings.
- understand the principles of the most important biochemical-analytical methodologies.
- be oriented in basic laboratory tasks.
