Basic knowledges from general biochemistry and methods of biochemical research.
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is also offered to the students of the fields other than those the course is directly associated with.
fields of study / plans the course is directly associated with
Course objectives
The goals of the lecture are to get to students the knowledge from separation methods in biochemistry and molecular biology, which are used for macromolecules purification (proteins, nucleic acids). A content of the first part includes electromigration methods. Second part is oriented onto chromatography methods and third part is dedicated in Field Flow Fractionation, Supercritical Fluid Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry.
Learning outcomes
The course brings the information about the newest trends in the field of Bioanalytitcal chemistry especially in Genomics, Transcriptomics, Proteomics, Metabolomics and in other omics field. At the end of this course the students should not only theoretically understand but be able practically apply these methods in their scientific research working on bachelor, master and PhD theses and finally during their following employment as well.
