Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to train general medicine students in dynamic thinking about etiology and pathogenesis of diseases focused on special pathophysiology as well as molecular pathophysiology themes:
Pathophysiology of digestive system, nutrition deficits.
Pathophysiology of endocrine system, metabolic diseases.
Pathophysiology of hemopoietic system, neoplasias.
Rheumatic diseases. Immunologically conditioned diseases.
Pathophysiology of nervous system.
Pathophysiology of muscles and sensory organs.
Learning outcomes
The student will describe the basic principles of methods used to analyze the human genome
The student will sum up the basic types of DNA repair
The student characterizes the basic features of monogenic disease
The student discusses the basic principles of and indications for gene therapy
The student knows the importance of the concept of pharmacogenetics
The student discusses the issues involved in protein metabolism
The student will sum up the metabolism of lipids
The student interprets the immunological recognition of their own knowledge of the principles and foreign structures
The student interprets the immunological hypersensitivity mechanisms
The student will explain the difference between acute and chronic effects of hormones
The student discusses the pathophysiology of disorders of the hypothalamus
The student discusses the pathophysiology of disorders of adrenal cortex
The student discusses the pathophysiology of disorders of thyroid and parathyroid glands
The student will explain the pathophysiological aspects of sex hormones
The student will describe the failure to regulate the production of HCl
The student discusses diseases of the esophagus
Student categorizes chronic gastritis, summarizing the role of Helicobacter pylori
The student controls the issue of inflammatory intestinal inflammations (
The student shall identify the oral cavity and also manifestations of systemic diseases

Students rattle off examples of failures of a sensory sensation
The student demonstrates examples of neurodegenerative diseases
The student will use the knowledge about the composition of cerebrospinal fluid to     explanation diagnostic contribution of its analysis
Student argues the importance of stability of intracranial pressure and its components for the emergence of intracranial hypertension
The student applies the somatotopic aspect of the pathophysiology of the disease of the spinal cord
The student will sum up the function of autonomous system
The student will sum up the function of somatic efferent system of movement
The student will sum up the function of somatic efferent system of the pyramids and the causes and consequences of their failures

The student discusses the etiopathogenesis of cerebral events

The student can list the common causes of disorders of the nervous system
Students rattle off the systems important for the existence of consciousness and waking, indicating the classification of disorders of consciousness on the qualitative and quantitative.

Etiologie a patogeneza nemoci.
Regulační povaha nemoci, základní koncepce teorie regulace, jejich aplikace na fyziologické a patofyziologické jevy.
Genové mechanizmy nemocí, regulace genové exprese, vzácné a běžné alely, genetický polymorfizmus, genetická variabilita bílkovinných molekul, protiklad mendelistických a multifaktoriálních nemocí, chromosomové aberace.
Patofyziologie enzymů.
Nemoci související s poruchami reparace DNK, mechanizmy reparace DNK a jejich patologie.
Stárnutí, definice stárnutí, fenomény stárnutí, teorie a etiologie stárnutí, možnosti intervence.
Nádorová transformace buňky, protoonkogeny a onkogeny, supresorové geny, cytokinetika nádorového růstu.
Fyziologická a patologická regenerace, hojení ran.

Hodnotové a popisné definice zdraví a nemoci.
Koncepce normality, její biologická východiska, koncepce normálnosti v klinice, referenční hodnoty.
Obecné příčiny nemoci, model nemoci "z jedné velké příčiny" proti konstitučnímu hledisku.
Etiologie a patogeneza nemoci.
Regulační povaha nemoci, základní koncepce teorie regulace, jejich aplikace na fyziologické a patofyziologické jevy.
Genové mechanizmy nemocí, regulace genové exprese, vzácné a běžné alely, genetický polymorfizmus, genetická variabilita bílkovinných molekul, protiklad mendelistických a multifaktoriálních nemocí, chromosomové aberace.

The aim of the subject is to train general medicine students in dynamic thinking about etiology and pathogenesis of diseases focused on special pathophysiology as well as molecular pathophysiology themes:
Pathophysiology of digestive system, nutrition deficits.
Pathophysiology of endocrine system, metabolic diseases.
Pathophysiology of hemopoietic system, neoplasias.
Rheumatic diseases. Immunologically conditioned diseases.
Pathophysiology of nervous system.
Pathophysiology of muscles and sensory organs.
Learning outcomes
The student will describe the basic principles of methods used to analyze the human genome
The student will sum up the basic types of DNA repair
The student characterizes the basic features of monogenic disease
The student discusses the basic principles of and indications for gene therapy
The student knows the importance of the concept of pharmacogenetics
The student discusses the issues involved in protein metabolism
The student will sum up the metabolism of lipids
The student interprets the immunological recognition of their own knowledge of the principles and foreign structures
The student interprets the immunological hypersensitivity mechanisms
The student will explain the difference between acute and chronic effects of hormones
The student discusses the pathophysiology of disorders of the hypothalamus
The student discusses the pathophysiology of disorders of adrenal cortex

Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to train general medicine students in dynamic thinking about etiology and pathogenesis of diseases focused on special pathophysiology as well as molecular pathophysiology themes:
Pathophysiology of digestive system, nutrition deficits.
Pathophysiology of endocrine system, metabolic diseases.
Pathophysiology of hemopoietic system, neoplasias.
Rheumatic diseases. Immunologically conditioned diseases.
Pathophysiology of nervous system.
Pathophysiology of muscles and sensory organs.
Learning outcomes
The student will describe the basic principles of methods used to analyze the human genome
The student will sum up the basic types of DNA repair
The student characterizes the basic features of monogenic disease
The student discusses the basic principles of and indications for gene therapy
The student knows the importance of the concept of pharmacogenetics
The student discusses the issues involved in protein metabolism
The student will sum up the metabolism of lipids
The student interprets the immunological recognition of their own knowledge of the principles and foreign structures
The student interprets the immunological hypersensitivity mechanisms
The student will explain the difference between acute and chronic effects of hormones
The student discusses the pathophysiology of disorders of the hypothalamus
The student discusses the pathophysiology of disorders of adrenal cortex
The student discusses the pathophysiology of disorders of thyroid and parathyroid glands
The student will explain the pathophysiological aspects of sex hormones
The student will describe the failure to regulate the production of HCl
