Abstract

- Getting acquainted with the issues of therapeutic and preventive care in the pediatrics
- Understanding the specificities of childhood medicine
- Getting acquainted with the specifics of communication with pediatric patients
- Training to obtain a complete history from the child's parents
- Training of physical examination of the pediatric patient

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the course the student will be able to:
- Basic orientation in the pediatrics
- Communication with a child patient and his/her parents
- Obtain a medical history
- Perform objective physical examination of the child
- Design laboratory and diagnostic tests

Stáže a semináře probíhají v areálu Dětské nemocnice - Pracoviště dětské medicíny FN Brno, Černopolní 212/9, 613 00, Brno

Rozdělení studentů do skupin najdete na nástěnce u sekretariátu Pediatrické kliniky, Pavilon C, 4. podlaží

* Praktická výuka probíhá na odděleních Pediatrické kliniky FN Brno,Černopolní 9:

Semináře od 8:00 v:
- Studovna Pek1, pavilon G, 3.podlaží, nebo
- Studovna Pek2, pavilon C, 4. podlaží.

Klinické stáže od 10.00 na odděleních 46, 67, 48, 69,56 (je možná změna dle aktuálního rozpisu), pozdní příchod nebude akceptován

* Pomůcky: plášť, přezůvky, fonendoskop (bez pomůcek nelze stáž absolvovat)
* Šatny: pavilon A (naproti vrátnice, kde jsou k vyzvednutí klíče. Skřínky v šatně je nutno každý den uvolnit
* Nepřítomnost na stážích pro zkoušku z jiného předmětu je nutno nahradit (po domluvě s příslušným vyučujícím)
* Aktuální informace nutno sledovat na nástěnce u sekretariátu Pediatrické kliniky, pavilon C, 4.podlaží
* V zájmu každého studenta je dostavit se s dostatečným předstihem před vlastním začátkem stáže

Practical training and seminars are held at the Children's Hospital - Department of Pediatric Medicine, Brno, Černopolní 212/9, 613 00, Brno
Students are divided into groups according to the schedule, which can be found on the board at the headquarters of the Department of Pediatric, Pavilion C, 4th floor
Practical training and seminars are held at the Department of Pediatrics, Brno, Černopolní 212/9, 613 00, Brno
Seminars begin mostly from 8:00 in:
- Pek1 study room, Pavilion G, 3rd floor, or
- Pek2 study room, Pavilion C, 4th floor.
Practical trainings begin mostly from 10.00 on wards 46, 67, 48, 69 and 56 (possible change according to current schedule), comming late will not be accepted
*Tools, necessary to attend practical training: official university ID card, coat, slippers, stethoscope (without tools can not student attend practical training)
*Cloakroom: Building A (at the opposite of the gatehouse – where is possible to pick up keys). Lockers must stay empty every day
*Watch the latest information on the notice board at the headquarters of the Department of Pediatrics , pavilion C, 4.floor
* It is in the interest of every student to come up early enough before beginning practical training
In accordance to The MU Study and Examination Regulations all practical education and lectures are obligatory. Only half of day absence is allowed. Exam or test is NO excuse. Substituion is allowed in the substitution week at end of semester. Personal absence in teaching could be substituted (in agreement with the teacher)
It is in the interest of every student to come up early enough before beginning practical training (to find out the allocation of students into groups and particular wards)
Students are not allowed to change specified group.
Student who will come more than 15 minutes later is not allowed to participate in practical training or seminar.
