Abstract
The aim of state examination is to confirm basic knowledge in epidemiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of the most common pediatric diseases.
Learning outcomes
The student knows the most common childhood illnesses. The student knows standard diagnostic procedures and tests for individual clinical conditions of the child and is able to apply them in practice. At the end of the course, students should be able to diagnose and treat various pediatric conditions
Key topics
During the practice, students work individualy at departments and outpatients departments. Seminars are part of the course. After completing the internship, the practice is completed by state rigorous examination.

State Exam of pediatrics has practical and theoretical part. Practical part – case report. Theoretical part consists of 3 questions.

 Rozsah textu obou učebnic je zcela odpovídající pro znalosti požadované u SZZ z pediatrie. Přitom první učebnice uvádí především vývojové aspekty dětského věku a zásady preventivních opatření, logicky na tuto učebnici pak navazuje text učebnice druhé, která uvádí podrobný přehled patologie jednotlivých tělních systémů u dětí.
Pro studium lze s určitým omezením využít také dvou níže uvedených titulů, jejichž textový rozsah je však omezený a mnohá problematika je uvedena pouze ve strukturované podobě: 1. Kovács L a kol.: Pediatria. Arete s.r.o. 2010 2. Muntau AC. Pediatrie. Grada 2009
