Course objectives
Course main objectives:
This course covers the main features and functions of microorganisms in health and disease; especially importance of microorgamisms in clinical microbiology context, as well as understanding of key undelying processes, their changes, and contributing factors. Topics include rational prescription of antibiotics,indication of microbiology examinations, and their interpretation.
This course limits enrollment to medical students.

Assessment methods
This course is based on lectures. The presence on the lectures is not checked, but it is recommended.
The subject finishes by a practical and a theoretical exam. Both of them are viva voce exams.
