Anotace
This course is designed to deepen and provide practical application of the knowledge gained in the course aZLFA0621p.
Výstupy z učení
After finishing the course the student will be able:
- to use formally correct terminology belonging to the valid Pharmacopoea. - to prescribe ready-made drug dosage forms.
- to understand basic principles of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, routes of admninistration and adverse effects - tu understand pharmacology of drugs affecting autonomic nervous system and GIT, pharmacology of glucocorticods, antihistamines, drugs used for treatment of diseases with bronchial obstruction, cough, diabetes, obesity and dyslipidemia.

Přístupy, postupy a metody používané ve výuce
In the practicals, the topics discussed are practiced as group and individual activities supplemented by the teacher's explanations and discussions. An essential part of the teaching is the students' home preparation for individual lessons and self-study.
Způsob ověření výstupů z učení a požadavky na ukončení
Participation in practical exercises is compulsory. One unexcused absence is allowed. There are four tests in total in the practical exercises:

Prescription test (8th exercise)
- contains 2 Ready-made products
- the active substance is indicated in the entry for the IPP and the pharmacotherapeutic group or indication for the RMP
- for both preparations, the pharmaceutical form and the quantity of the preparation
- rating: pass/fail
- the time limit is 30 minutes
- can be repeated a maximum of twice

Multiple-choice tests (Exercises 4, 7 and 10)
- on knowledge of the material covered
- the test consists of  10 questions with  3 to 5 multiple choice questions
- the number of correct answers is given at the end of the question
- points are awarded for questions answered completely correctly (2 points)
- the limit for passing the test is 10 points
- only one of the tests can be repeated and only once

TEST
In order to pass:
90% attendance at practice
Successful completion of the Prescription Test
Successful completion of three Multiple-choice tests with minimal score of 36 points.

Multiple-choice test results count towards the final grade for Pharmacology II (aZLFA0721p)

Information for students:
Classes are held in classrooms according to the timetable listed in the IS.
Due to public holidays, some classes will be taught with other topics. The respective seminar groups will be informed of this fact by e-mail well in advance.

The teaching of pharmacology to students of dental medicine is conducted on a two-semester basis.
In the spring semester, the course is completed with credit. See above for credit requirements.
Completion in the autumn semester = rigorous examination, which consists of a pre-test and an oral part.
The oral exam consists of three randomly selected questions from the headings:
1) general pharmacology
2) special pharmacology
3) selected chapters of special pharmacology relevant to ZL students

The results of the multiple-choice test from practicals and pre-exam tests are included in the final grade, see the aZL Continuous Assessment System document in the Study materials.
