- Přístupy, postupy a metody používané ve výuce
- In the practicals, the topics discussed are practised as group and individual activities supplemented by the teacher's explanations and discussions. An essential part of the teaching is the students' home preparation for individual lessons and self-study. Students can check their readiness for the lesson by taking the ROPOT before each class. Study materials are available in the form of interactive syllabi.
- Způsob ověření výstupů z učení a požadavky na ukončení
Attendance is compulsory; one unexcused absence during the semester is allowed. TESTS DURING THE PRACTICAL LESSONS - During the autumn semester, there will be 3 continuous multiple-choice tests on the knowledge of the material covered (planned for exercises 4., 7., and 10.) and 1 prescription test (in exercise 8).
Multi-choice tests - contain 10 questions - the number of correct answers is indicated in the question statement - 2 points are only awarded for a completely correct question, no points are deducted for incorrectly answered questions - the pass mark is 10 points and the total score for all tests is 36 points - the time limit for one test is 10 minutes - at most 1 of the 3 multiple-choice tests may be repeated/corrected only once per semester
Prescription test - consists of 2 Ready-made produtcs - the indication, dosage form/route of administration and quantity of the product or duration of treatment are given in the assignment, or you follow the information according to the indication in the SPC - pass/fail assessment - time limit is 30 minutes - can be repeated a maximum of twice. The essential errors for failing the test from the formula are: - Incorrectly selected drug product (wrong active ingredient, dosage form or, incorrectly stated dosage in contradiction to the SPC and in relation to the assignment) - major deficiencies in the formalities of the prescription (missing blue bar or 2 or more data required for the validity of the form) .
Test results will be recorded in the IS no later than 48 hours after the test has been taken. If you fail to meet this condition, please contact the instructor of your seminar group.
- Náhradní absolvování
- The course can be attended online. Online participation is allowed for students on Erasmus or for students who cannot attend the lesson because of health reasons. The Teams connection is provided at the time of scheduled class. To get the credits student must pass all required tests.

SEMINAR ORGANIZATION
− Seminars for the course aZLFA0722c are held periodically during weeks 1–14 of the semester, according to the schedule in the IS Course Catalog. Seminars are held in person; however, if students are ill, synchronous online instruction may be used (see below for details)
− In the event of national holidays, the instructor will offer the seminar group the option of a make-up session.
− Each seminar group has a designated group instructor assigned in the IS.
ATTENDANCE AT SEMINARS
- Student absences are typically excused through the Office of Academic Affairs.
- An exam or credit from another course is NOT a valid reason for an absence
- In case of illness, students may contact their seminar group instructor via email to arrange for online participation in the class (please contact the instructor in advance!); online attendance is not recorded in the IS
- Making up a seminar in a different seminar group is possible in exceptional cases after prior agreement with the instructor of one’s own seminar group;
- A missed seminar test or a retake of a test can be completed during office hours after logging in via the Topic Schedule in IS;
PREPARATION FOR THE NEXT SEMINAR
- Students are required to prepare for the class on an ongoing basis based on the information provided in the Interactive Course Syllabus published in the Study Materials section of the IS.
- The instructor will assess students’ preparedness during the class.
- If a student is unprepared, they may be excluded from the class and required to make up the missed session in another seminar group or through independent work.
TESTS DURING SEMINARS
- During the fall semester, there will be 3 ongoing multiple-choice tests on the covered material (scheduled for the 4th, 7th, and 10th seminars) and 1 formula test (in the 8th seminar)
- Multiple-choice tests:
- contain 10 questions
- the number of correct answers is specified in the question
- 2 points are awarded only for a completely correct answer; no points are deducted for incorrect answers
- The passing score is 10 points, with a total of 36 points from all tests;
- The time limit for each test is 10 minutes;
- You may retake/correct at most 1 of the 3 multiple-choice tests, and only once per semester;
- Prescription test;
- Consists of 2 RMPs;
- The assignment specifies the indication, dosage form/route of administration, and quantity of the preparation, or the duration of treatment; otherwise, follow the information in the SPC regarding the indication
- Graded as pass/fail
- Time limit is 30 minutes
- May be retaken a maximum of two times
- Critical errors resulting in failure of the prescription test are:
- Incorrectly selected medicinal product (incorrect active ingredient, dosage form, or incorrect dosage contrary to the SPC and the assignment)
- Fundamental deficiencies in the formal requirements of the prescription (missing blue stripe or two or more pieces of information necessary for the validity of the form)
- Test results will be recorded in the IS no later than 48 hours after the test is completed. If this condition is not met, please contact the instructor of your seminar group.
CONSULTATION HOURS
- Students may consult any uncertainties on an ongoing basis during exercises or via the discussion thread in the IS for individual lectures and exercises
- Registration for office hours takes place via the Topic Schedule in the IS
- Test corrections and make-up tests are also conducted during office hoursREQUIREMENTS FOR COURSE CREDIT:
- A maximum of one unexcused absence from seminars (excused absences due to travel on Saturdays do not count toward the total number of absences)
- Successful completion of all tests (3 multiple-choice tests worth at least 10 points each [36 points total] and a formula test)
LECTURES
- Lectures for the course aZLFA0722p are conducted online via recordings uploaded to the IS interactive syllabus. Students may ask questions about the lectures during related seminars or contact the lecturer directly via email.
EXAM
- The procedure for the exam in the follow-up course Pharmacology II—including the lecture and calculation of the final grade—is described in a separate document titled “Continuous Assessment System.” - Studijní opora
