Anotace
Upon completion of the course, the student will understand the principles of "pharmacological thinking" in drug selection, dosage, pharmacokinetic parameter calculations, choice and technique of administration methods and should be able to master the basic pharmacological profile of selected drug groups.
Výstupy z učení
Upon completion of the course, the student will:
- be familiar with medicinal product databases and be able to search for specific medicinal products
- distinguish between different routes of administration and dosage forms of a drug and their advantages and disadvantages
- be able to prescribe Ready-made products
- know the basic pharmacokinetic processes and parameters and can determine the type of mechanism of action of specific drugs
- know the basic pharmacological profile of the drug groups discussed - can recognize drug-drug interactions and can evaluate its severity

Přístupy, postupy a metody používané ve výuce
Lectures are provided to students in the form of recorded presentations accompanied by audio commentary by the lecturer.
Způsob ověření výstupů z učení a požadavky na ukončení

The final exam consists of written and oral part.

The final evaluation of the course also contains results of the tests from practicals of both semesters and results of the colloquium test.

The final mark is calculated by the following method:
The relative weight of the mark from tests: 30 %
The relative weight of the mark from the oral exam: 70 %

Written part of the final exam is represented by the ROPOT test that consists of 30 questions (3 points each) undertaken on the day of the final exam. The minimum to pass the test is at least 54 points. If the student fails in the ROPOT, the final exam classification is F. The test can be repeated twice. If students fail in all three attempts in the ROPOT, they can ask the guarantee of the course for a commission oral examination, and the minimal score from the test is used to calculate the final mark.

The ROPOT test has not to be repeated once the student passes it, and in repeated oral examination, the exam starts with the oral part.

In the oral part, the student draws one question of each of three examination question sets and answers the additional questions of the examiner.

The relative weights of each examination dataset are as follows: General pharmacology: 25 %; Special pharmacology: 25 %; Selected chapters from special pharmacology: 30 %; Additional questions given by examiner: 20 %. In case a student fails in one of the partial questions, the final mark will be F also.

The mark for the tests is given as follows:
A = 181-210 points
B = 161-180 points
C = 141-160 points
D = 126-140 points
E = 110-125 points
F = less than 110 points
