On 12-13 September 2019 Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Education, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic organizes The Eighth Brno Conference on Linguistics Studies in English: Functional Plurality of Language in Contextualised Discourse.
The conference will focus on two core aspects in the study of discourse that seem to have recently attracted attention of researchers – the plurality of functions language may perform by a wide range of linguistic means and the role of context in the choice of specific functions and their linguistic realisations.

The conference fee is 1800 CZK (70 EUR) and is to be paid either by bank transfer or credit card between 15 July and 20 August 2019. The full conference fee includes attendance of the conference sessions, conference pack, coffee breaks and conference dinner but it does not include accommodation (arranged by the participants themselves). Payment in cash upon arrival is not possible. Please note that the fee is not refundable.
