Course objectives
The aim of the course “Sports medicine” is to acquire basic theoretical knowledge in the field of physiology and pathophysiology of physical load, including reaction and adaptation to different types of physical load in healthy and ill subjects. The course also includes the importance of movement and physical fitness in primary and secondary prevention and therapy of various disorders and diseases.
Learning outcomes
Student will know after completing the subject:
- theoretical basics in physiology and pathophysiology of physical exercise in sports medicine
- theoretical basics of reaction and adaptation to various types of physical stress in athletes - importance of movement and physical fitness of athletes in primary and secondary prevention and therapy of various disorders and diseases
